I have had several of you ask me how I find my deals and to be perfectly honest I get them from other people. I figure why do all the hard work myself when all I have to do is look at their (WONDERFUL!) blogs and websites and see what will work for me. This blog post is going to be a list of my favorite sites and what I use them for. Be sure to check them all out, they all have something wonderful to offer.
http://www.moneysavingmom.com/
This website has wonderful info about playing the drugstore "game." There is also a great section on the right hand side that says "Start Here" and has tons of info on how to get started couponing. This is a great and encouraging blog! Thanks, Crystal!
http://www.southernsavers.com/
I love this site. Not only does she put drugstore deals on here site but also super grocery store deals including Kroger and Publix. (where I do most of my grocery shopping.) She also does a super job linking the weekly sales to the current newspaper and internet coupons. Another great feature is she knows some of deals ahead of time and will alert you to save the coupon until the next week when the item will save (or make) you even more money! Thanks, Jenny!
www.savingyourcents.blogspot.com
Another super savings site. One of my main draws to this site is that it is the ONLY one I have found that links sales to coupons for Ingles which is the only large grocery store in my town. (I still drive to go to Kroger and Publix. I feel I get better deals and don't have to worry about Ingles coupon limits. More on that another day.) Her blog is really a "one-stop savings spot!" Thanks, Lissa!
http://www.hip2save.com/
I only recently found this website and have spent several hours that last few days checking it out. There is tons of awesome info, and I agree, it is Hip 2 Save! Tons of freebies, store deals and coupons! Stop by and check her site out! Thanks, Hip2Save
One last mention, the site that started it all for me.....
www.couponmom.com
This is the site I first heard about on the news, This site was great for me in the beginning. I have now branched out more and am able to get far more free deals then this site was posting. You do have to "join" the site. My absolute FAV part of the site is that there is a very extensive coupon database, so if you run out of an item or need something specific it will tell where and if there is a (print) coupon avaliable! Thanks, Coupon Mom!
There are more sites I love and will post more about them in the future. To really get started "couponing" sit down and explore a few of these sites. They will really get you excited about all the money you can save.

Rite Aid 5-12-09
****picture coming soon****
I am still new to playing the coupon game at Rite Aid but I thought the Zyrtec Deal was to good to pass up. Here is a summary of what I got and what I paid.
1 Renuzit Spray $0.99 (on sale from $1.99)
1 Got 2 Be Hair Product $4.99 (on sale from $6.89)
3 Zyrtec 30 Counts + $56.97 (on a sale A $18.99 each from $22.99)
Total $62.95
Minus $5 off any $25 - $5.00
purchase coupon $57.95
Minus 6 coupons - $20.00
Total $37.95 (This is what I paid pre tax)
But wait, $37.95 is NOT FREE! Well, Rite Aid does a montly rebate program. If you save your reciept on certain items you get a rebate. So based on what I bought, I will be getting a Rebate for $37. (three different rebates) So all I will have ended up paying is 95 cents for 3 months of Zyrtec! Amazing!

Welcome to my new blog!

In addition to my real estate career I have found a new hobby that combines two things I love, love, love to do, shop and save money. With the economy in its current slump many of the news programs have been featuring ways to save a buck and being the ever so smart realtor that I am I listened up! In addition to nurmerous ways to save money the one that really hit home for me was COUPONS! I know, I know. Your thinking I am crazy and must spend tons of time clipping coupons and it makes you think of your Grandma and doesn't just buying the store brand save you more money? Well, I thought so to until recently. Back to the TV news program, (wish I knew which one now) , the news program explained how if you use coupons when things are on SALE and learn the system of couponing then you can save money, money and more money, and I HAVE! Ok so get to the point... my goal in starting this blog is two fold. One is very selfish, of course I want as many people to stop by and check out homes I have for sale and share them with those who are in the house market and to learn a little about me. (I need to keep funding this new cheap hobby of mine.) :) But the other reason to start this blog to make you aware that you can do the same thing I am doing and get great deals that I am getting as well! See, I am not ALL selfish and I do love to share. :) Just save some of the deals for me just in case I am way toooo busy selling homes to actually get my shopping done. Ha, somehow I can always find the time to shop.......
....so here is my idea......
I am going to start updating this blog and as time goes on share get deals, freebies, and how to coupon. It took me a few months to really figure it out and to get dedicated and I want to help it be a little easier for you.
....and here is my next idea.....
I would love to teach you how to "coupon" in one evening. My idea is for you, (yes, I am talking to you) to invite me to your home one evening and you invite 5 to 15 of your near and dear friends over for a home party. (and guess what, no one has to buy ANYTHING! and everything I will do that evening is FREE.... and I just might share some of the items that I got as a SUPER DUPER deal with you to take home.) All you have to do is make some refreshment, (you can't have a party without refreshments) provide the locations and invite your gal pals, (and men who want to do the household shopping, too.) So you are thinking this is toooooo good to be true, well send me an email and we will work on getting this party thing started. Not only do I hope that I will be able to share some great tips and techniques with you but I also hope to meet many new friends and people who will ONE DAY need to buy or sell a home. (hummm.....combining work and hobby make for a happy life, right!)
Soooo.....
email me at:
coupons@kristinroney.com
and let the savings begin!
