Since then, Kristin has focused her research on the use of yoga and meditation in working with performance anxiety and as tools to unlock the body so that students can embody their authentic sound. Serving as the education coordinator and sole partner for YogaVoice®, she guides students through the YogaVoice® certification process, builds curriculum, and conducts numerous workshops and intensives.
Kristin’s teaching style is holistic and process-, not product-, focused. She teaches mindful deliberate practice, which is tailored to the needs of the individual. By teaching mindful and intentional practice, students learn to sing from a place of true self-awareness. Students learn what free singing feels like, because one cannot heal what one does not feel. Kristin believes everyone has the right to have their authentic, true voice heard and experienced. In lessons, Kristin helps students discover their authentic sound and what it means to be truly present as a musician and performer using her own performance and training knowledge as a classical musician, YogaVoice principles, asanas, mantras, meditation, age appropriate repertoire, study of vocal technique, musicality, and interpretation of song in a nurturing and safe environment.
